Privacy notice
How Docket Law Offices handles the personal information you give us, under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we collect
When you book a consultation: your name, mobile number, email if you give it, the kind of matter, what you tell us happened, the name of the other party, and the language you prefer.
When you are a client using the portal: what your matter needs — the documents you upload, your payment notices and the questions you send your lawyer.
Why we use it
- To answer your request and set a consultation.
- To check for a conflict of interest before we discuss your case. This is required of lawyers by the Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability.
- To act for you once you engage us, and to bill and receive payment for that work.
Confidentiality
What you tell us about your case is confidential, and once you are our client it is also protected by the lawyer-client privilege. We do not sell or share your information. We disclose it only when the law or a court requires it, or when you tell us to.
How long we keep it
A consultation request that does not become a case is kept for as long as we need it to show that we checked for conflicts, then disposed of. A client's file is kept for as long as the law and our professional duties require.
Cookies
This website sets only two cookies: one remembers the language you chose, and one keeps you signed in to the client portal. There is no advertising or tracking.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed, to access your information, to have it corrected, to object, to have it erased or blocked, to data portability, and to claim damages. You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
