Terms of use
The terms for using the website and client portal of Docket Law Offices.
About this website
This website tells you about Docket Law Offices and lets you book a consultation, sign in to the client portal and send us documents. What you read here is general information. It is not legal advice for your situation, and it may not reflect the latest change in the law.
No lawyer-client relationship yet
Reading this website, writing to us or sending a consultation request does not make us your lawyers. We act for you only after our conflict check has cleared and you and the firm have signed an engagement letter.
Consultation requests
What you tell us in a consultation request is kept confidential. A request does not bind the firm to take your case, and it does not stop any deadline that runs against you, such as a prescriptive period or a period to appeal. If a deadline is close, call the office.
The client portal
- Only the firm opens a portal account, for a client or a person the client names.
- You sign in with a one-time code or link sent to the email or mobile number on file. Keep the code to yourself: anyone who has it can see your cases until it expires.
- Tell the office at once if you think someone else has signed in as you.
- When a case is closed it stays in the portal, read-only, for a period the firm sets, and then leaves the portal. The firm keeps its own file as the law requires.
Documents you upload
Send only documents you have the right to share and that your case needs. A document counts as received when the office accepts it, not when it leaves your phone or computer. Keep your originals until the office asks for them.
Payment notices
A payment notice tells us that you paid. It is not a receipt. A payment counts only after the office has matched it against the bank or e-wallet record and issued an official receipt.
Intellectual property
The text, guides, photographs and design of this website belong to Docket Law Offices or are used with permission. You may print or share a page for your own use, naming where it came from, but you may not copy it into another website or sell it.
Links to other websites
Links to courts, government offices and other websites are there for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for what they say.
Limits of our liability
We take care to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not promise that it is complete, up to date or never interrupted. As far as the law allows, the firm is not liable for any loss from relying on the general information here, or from the website or the portal being unavailable.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any case about them shall be filed only in the proper courts of Makati City.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies when you use the website.
